The assembly of "Volga" cars will be налажена by the joint-stock company "Production of passenger cars." This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. According to him, the manufacturer is an independent legal entity from the Gorky Automobile Plant.
The new "Volga" car will be produced at the facilities of the Nizhny Novgorod automotive cluster. The project is implemented by JSC "Production of passenger cars."
He added that the company has leased GAZ facilities. The cost of the revived VOLGA models is still unknown, Manturov suggested waiting for the launch of production.
As a reminder, the new "Volgas" were first shown on May 21 in Nizhny Novgorod. The cars are rebadged Changans. The lineup includes two crossovers and a sedan.
