The assembly of Volga cars will be carried out by the joint-stock company "Production of passenger cars." This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. According to him, the manufacturer is independent of the Gorky Automobile Plant legal entity.
The new Volga car will be produced at the facilities of the Nizhny Novgorod automobile cluster. The project is being implemented by JSC "Production of passenger cars."
He added that the company has leased the capacity of GAZ. The cost of the revived VOLGA models is still unknown, Manturov suggested waiting for the start of production.
As a reminder, the new Volgas were first shown on May 21 in Nizhny Novgorod. The cars are rebadged Changans. The lineup includes two SUVs and a sedan.
