Vertical Takeoff, Good Picture: Russian Intelligence Officers Test Airplane-Type UAV in Combat Conditions

Russian Armed Forces intelligence officers have tested in combat conditions a drone developed by specialists from an enterprise in Primorsky Krai. The main advantage of the UAV is the ability to launch in any weather. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

This "bird" is capable of seeing a picture at long distances. The UAV is unique in that it has vertical takeoff and vertical landing, with a range of up to 40 kilometers.

The UAV can be used:

  • for reconnaissance purposes
  • as a signal repeater
You can choose any point, drive up to it, and launch the UAV regardless of weather conditions. You don't have to launch it from a catapult.

According to the serviceman, the drone lands at the specified coordinates without a parachute.
