Russia invents a way to turn old dump trucks into unmanned transport

The development allows building an autonomous system on the existing fleet of heavy equipment

The company "Tsifra Robotics" has created a system consisting of controllers and sensors that allows to robotize quarry dump trucks, including equipment from the old fleet. After installing the system, dump trucks will be able to operate fully autonomously or be controlled by an operator.

The main advantage of this system is the ability to modernize the existing fleet of equipment, including the use of serviceable but old dump trucks. In unmanned mode, they will be able to last for several more years.

"Tsifra Robotics" claims that this is the first solution in Russia for the robotization of quarry dump trucks. The company intends to complete the project on the robotization of heavy equipment in the summer of 2024.
