Russian scientists have invented an innovative weight loss product that will help you get rid of extra pounds without giving up sweets. The substance is called brazzein, it is two thousand times sweeter than sugar, but it is a protein.
Initially, the substance is contained in the Pentadiplandra brazzeana plant, which mainly grows in Gabon, Angola or Congo. Russian scientists synthesized it in the laboratory. Tests on mammals have proven that they did not receive any negative effects, even with prolonged use of brazzein.
Among other things, it is noted that the experimental animals did not increase the number of Faecalibaculum rodentium bacteria in the intestines, which are multiplying with might and main when sugar is abused. In general, long-term consumption of sweet proteins did not lead to the appearance of opportunistic microflora or a significant change in the microbiota.
