Su-35, Tornado, Msta-S - Named Russian military equipment most often purchased abroad

Fighters, self-propelled guns, and anti-aircraft missile and gun systems are in the top list

Foreign buyers of Russian weapons prefer self-propelled guns, MLRS, and fighters over other products. This was revealed in an interview with RBC by Sergey Chemezov, General Director of the Rostec State Corporation.

According to Chemezov, sales of military equipment to foreign parties by the state corporation have decreased, as "most of the products go to the needs of the Ministry of Defense". Rostec's plants play a significant role in the planned growth of the state defense order.

In general, if we talk about the state defense order, our share is just over 50%. This is in value terms. In quantitative terms, of course, we have much more. If we talk about the Special Military Operation, 80% of all products are supplied by us: this includes all military aviation, all armored vehicles, artillery, MLRS, ammunition, and electronic warfare equipment.

At the same time, there is a high demand for Russian weapons abroad: Rostec's export portfolio in this area is almost $60 billion, and this is a "record figure".

The Pantsirs are popular with buyers, but they are not alone.

Firstly, the Su-35. An aircraft that has proven itself very well, and there is demand for it. The Ka-52 helicopter has proven to be very effective. From land equipment - the Tornado and Smerch MLRS, the Msta-S self-propelled artillery system. And the Pantsir-S1 SAM system, of course.

In the future, when the front-line demand for defense products in Russia decreases, its flow for export will be increased "immediately".

It is worth noting that the state corporation is actively promoting civilian aircraft for export as well. From the latest expositions, one can highlight the stand at the united showcase of the VIII Russian-Chinese EXPO in Harbin. Visitors can familiarize themselves with models of passenger airliners MS-21, SJ-100, multi-purpose helicopters Ka-226T and Ka-32A11BC, and the heavy transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A.
