Rosatom will focus on providing uranium to the domestic nuclear energy industry

The state corporation "Rosatom" will provide uranium to meet the growing needs of the domestic nuclear energy industry, and also plans to develop relations with foreign partners. This is how the corporation commented on the decree of US President Joe Biden, which prohibits the import of enriched uranium of Russian origin.

The corporation predicts that by 2045, the share of nuclear generation in Russia's energy balance will grow to 25%. At the same time, Rosatom will continue to maintain its position as a global leader in nuclear energy.

Rosatom stated that the law signed by Biden is discriminatory and non-market. This decision has a political connotation, and it is of a "destructive nature for the sustainable functioning of the global market," the corporation summarized.
