The "Kometa 120M" hydrofoil passenger ship (project 23160), built at the "Vympel" enterprise in Rybinsk, has started sea trials. It made a transition lasting 6 hours, the USC press service reported.
The fourth vessel in the series is named "Evpatoria". The fifth vessel, "Kerch", will soon join it for testing. After the tests, they will be put on routes.
The vessels are being built under a contract with the State Transport Leasing Company. They are designed for high-speed sea transportation. "Kometa 120M" can reach speeds of up to 65 km/h. It can accommodate up to 120 people on board.
The ship's cabin has aviation-type seats: economy and business class, all made of vibration-absorbing materials. The "Kometa" has an air conditioning system.
