The increase in the price of LADA cars in May will average 3%, but it will not affect the basic versions of Granta and Vesta. This was stated by the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov. He noted that the auto giant had not raised prices for six months, the last increase in the price of LADA cars occurred in November 2023.
During this period, accumulated inflation amounted to about 7%. Nevertheless, indexation will occur in May, but its size will be almost 2 times less than the indicated figure. In general, for the AvtoVAZ model range, indexation will be less than 3%
At the same time, some models will become more expensive by more than 3%, it will all depend on the complexity of assembly and the level of localization of the model.
Sokolov explained the increase in prices by the growth in the cost of production, he also noted that suppliers use complex logistics chains.
