NAMI may increase the fulfillment of the state order for premium Aurus cars, said Alexander Lebedev, Deputy Director of the Unified Modular Platform project. According to him, the demand for cars from government agencies has increased many times over: previously they ordered one or two cars, and now they order 10-20.
To date, the production capabilities of NAMI and Aurus, all the production capabilities that this group of companies has, are scheduled by name. It will be difficult to increase the state order for these cars now.
He emphasized that if the state sets a task to increase production, it will be fulfilled.
Lebedev previously spoke about the great interest in Aurus from foreign clients. According to him, in the UAE alone in 2023, 15 premium cars were purchased. These were limousines and "long" sedans.
It should be reminded that in September 2023, President Vladimir Putin instructed the government and the Presidential Administration to transfer officials to domestically produced cars. The head of state emphasized that foreign-made cars should not be purchased for employees of ministries and departments.
