A new production space for the production of the frame of a 12-132 model gondola car has been opened in correctional colony (IK) No. 12 in Nizhny Tagil. The workshop will operate in the interests of the country's main tank assembly line, Uralvagonzavod (UVZ).
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region said that the premises were designed specifically for a workshop for the production of wagon parts. The necessary equipment has been installed here.
A special commission from Uralvagonzavod checked the readiness for serial production of gondola car frames. Workers conducted qualification tests, confirming their readiness for production.
The 12-132 gondola car is an all-metal four-axle car. It is designed for the transportation of bulk, loose, stacked and piece goods on the railways of Russia and the CIS countries.
