В России начали продавать беспилотники-геоскауты с вертикальным взлетом

Everything in them is domestic, except for the motors

Sales have begun for those interested in vertical takeoff geoscouting drones from Innopolis University. CNews learned about the device's characteristics and prospects from one of its buyers, the Lazarevskoye agricultural holding.

The drone purchased by the agricultural holding was developed taking into account the technical specifications for a real enterprise with the possibility of integration into its ecosystem. It will help develop geoscouting — collecting data in the field and analyzing the data obtained using machine learning methods for accurate forecasting, assessment, and effective decision-making on the harvest in a particular field. Thus, the geoscouting drone helps analyze soil conditions, grain temperature, and seed sowing.

The UAV has the following characteristics:

  • vertical takeoff and landing capability using electric motors;
  • domestic components, including software and satellite navigation system, with the exception of motors;
  • ability to fly up to 300 km;
  • multispectral camera;
  • LiDAR technology, which collects data about crops in 3D format in the form of a point cloud, and helps predict its volumes and other characteristics;
  • interference-resistant electronics;
  • built-in autonomous control and data analysis technologies on board in real time;
  • manual control and autopilot along a given route.

According to CNews, farmers now intend to create their own UAV center and software development for processing data obtained after aerial photography.
