Localization of Aurus car production in Russia is about 90%. This was stated by Alexander Lebedev, Deputy Director of the "Unified Modular Platform" project at NAMI.
To date, the localization of the production of these cars and their component base in Russia and friendly countries is about 90%
He recalled that premium cars were developed with foreign partners, but later they had to abandon cooperation with them "due to certain events." Some component production was moved from unfriendly to friendly countries.
Note that back in August 2018, Aurus chief designer Vadim Pereverzev emphasized that most of the components for premium cars are produced in Russia.
NAMI owns the intellectual rights to Aurus cars and manufactures special and armored versions of the cars. The rest of the car line is produced by Aurus LLC, among its owners is the Tawazun fund (part of the Emirates Defense Industries Corporation).
