Russia's main tank manufacturer, Uralvagonzavod (UVZ), has showcased the trials of the Terminator tank support fighting vehicle (BMPT). The heavy equipment moves quickly and strikes designated targets.
Russian military personnel are already using "Terminators" in combat operations. It is a reliable cover for tanks, and its armament allows it to engage four to five targets with precision fire.
The enemy simply has nowhere to hide
The Russian "Terminator" covers tanks and enemy infantry with a hurricane of fire. The BMPT also destroys strongholds and dugouts.
Russian gunsmiths continue to work on improving the combat vehicle. For example, they created a 30-mm round with a high-explosive fragmentation projectile with a remotely controlled fuse. The "Terminator" will also receive a remote-controlled ammunition detonation time system.
The "Terminator" is based on a tank chassis. It has two paired 2A42 30 mm automatic cannons, as well as a 7.62 mm PKTM machine gun. The BMPT crew can engage the enemy with Ataka-T guided missiles or use an AGS-17 grenade launcher.
After testing in combat, specialists refined the BMPT taking into account the recommendations of the Russian Armed Forces military personnel.
It was previously reported that the "Terminator" received dynamic and anti-drone protection.
