Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of Rostec) has handed over two Mi-8AMT helicopters to Yeltsovka Air Enterprise under a contract with the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK). The rotary-wing aircraft were delivered to the customer in Novosibirsk on their own, the Rostec press service reported.
It is specified that the Mi-8AMT has been modified for the subsequent installation of medical modules, a side boom with a winch, and additional internal fuel tanks. The helicopters received a ramp with an electro-hydraulic drive to facilitate loading and unloading, including wheeled vehicles. This will also allow for the transportation of long cargo.
Yeltsovka Air Enterprise was established in 2009 on the basis of a structural subdivision of NAPO named after V.P. Chkalov. The company's helicopter fleet includes 19 Mi-8T helicopters, 9 of the latest Mi-8MTV/AMT helicopters with medical modules. Yeltsovka pilots fly on routes in the Tomsk, Novosibirsk regions, Krasnoyarsk Territory, YaNAO, KhMAO, Komi, and Kamchatka.
