Rostec is doing everything to ensure that the new 2S38 Derivation-Air Defense anti-aircraft gun system reaches the troops as soon as possible. This was stated by Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Armaments and Ammunition Cluster of the corporation.
According to him, the engineers completed the development of the "Derivation-Air Defense" last year. The complex has advanced combat characteristics, and also provides reliable protection for personnel.
The complex is designed to engage:
- drones of various types
- air-to-surface missiles
- tactical aviation
- fire support helicopters
Derivation-Air Defense is the only anti-aircraft system in the world (only Russia has it) that engages aerial targets with 57-mm guns. It is also equipped with artillery fire control equipment.
