Plans to increase production to 12 vehicles per day

Truck production has increased at the former Volvo plant in Kaluga. Previously, it produced about 5 vehicles per day, but now it produces 9 vehicles. The plant wants to increase production to 12 trucks per day.

The production plan for 2024 is 2,000 vehicles. The company assembles Ural Next trucks from vehicle kits. 300 people are working on the assembly.

As a reminder, the former Volvo plant resumed operation after being idle in December 2023. The production site belongs to Avtomobilnoye Motornoye Soobshchestvo (AMO) of the Promyshlennye Investitsii group. Representatives of this industrial group said that the plant is strategically focused on the production of domestic freight transport.
