Experts at Vector Research Institute: Drone combat is becoming the norm in Russia

Experts at the Vector Research Institute, which is part of the Rostec State Corporation's Ruselectronics holding, predict that drone combat equipment will become an integral part of ensuring the safety of civilian facilities in Russia. This type of protection will be as commonplace as a fence or video surveillance systems, the organization's specialists emphasized.

Protection against UAVs at [civilian] facilities is now becoming the norm. It is as normal as an ACS (access control system), a barrier, a fence, or video surveillance

Experts also emphasized that clients are increasingly interested in increasing the efficiency of already installed equipment, including by increasing power and expanding frequency ranges. At the same time, there is a growing interest in insurance against possible drone attacks.

The Vector Research Institute is one of the leading Russian enterprises in the field of radio engineering and radio electronics. It specializes in the development and production of drone detection and counteraction systems, including products such as the Serp-VS6 FPV drone counteraction device.

Earlier, specialists from the Vector Research Institute reported that in 2024 they increased the supply of anti-drone devices to the civilian market.
