The Russian company Meteor Auto (Engels Spark Plugs LLC) has launched premium spark plugs. They have an increased lifespan due to the use of platinum and iridium. Production has been established at the former Robert Bosch Saratov plant, where Bosch spark plugs were previously produced.
Meteor Auto produces three lines of spark plugs. The "green" line features conventional nickel spark plugs, the "blue" line features a product with increased wear resistance, and the "black" line features a product with precious metal electrodes.
Spark plugs with precious metals last three to four times longer than conventional spark plugs. They are suitable for almost all car brands.
The German company Bosch suspended operations in Russia in the spring of 2022. In 2023, it sold its Russian assets, which included seven production facilities in various regions of the country.
