The exercises involving the submarine "Volkhov" took place in the Peter the Great Bay

The crews of the corvette "Sovershenny" and small anti-submarine ships "Metel" and "Koreets", part of the Russian Pacific Fleet, destroyed a mock enemy submarine during exercises in the Sea of Japan.

The submarine "Volkhov" acted as the enemy submarine. Prior to participating in the maneuvers, it carried out launches of "Caliber" missiles.

The USC clarified that the corvettes "Gromky" and "Hero of Russia Aldar Tsydenzhapov" were also involved in the maneuvers in the Peter the Great Bay (Sea of Japan). All three warships were built by specialists from the Amur Shipbuilding Plant.

The corporation added that the multipurpose ships of projects 20380 and 20385 are being built in St. Petersburg and Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Their purpose is to destroy enemy submarines and ships, support the landing of troops, and solve combat missions in the near zone.
