Experts from the Avtostat agency calculated that in the 12th week of 2024, from March 18 to 24, 35,227 new cars were sold in Russia. This became a new weekly record. The leader in sales is AvtoVAZ products. Among foreign cars, Chinese brands are in the first lines.
Last week, 9613 LADA cars were sold, which also became a record for the brand itself. Haval is in second place with 3667 cars sold, followed by Geely — 3498, Chery — 3077 and Changan — 2234.
Exeed, Omoda, Lixiang, Moskvich and Belgee are also among the leading brands in sales. But Toyota dropped out of the top 10 to 13th place in the ranking last week. Chinese cars have pushed the proven and beloved Japanese brand out of the market.
