Anti-submarine ships of the Northern Fleet went to the Barents Sea to conduct training artillery firing. The press service of the Northern Fleet reported on the complex of artillery firing exercises in the training grounds in the Barents Sea. The ship group that took part in the exercises included the small anti-submarine ships "Snezhnogorsk" and "Brest" of Project 1124M, as well as the small missile ship " рассвет" of Project 1234.1.

According to official information from the press service, the combat crews of the Northern Fleet ships successfully conducted training artillery firing from various distances at targets simulating unmanned boats of a mock enemy.

The sailors conducted an air defense exercise, successfully completing a complex of artillery firing at aerial targets. Also, during the training, actions were practiced to deploy a ship group at sea and search for submarines.

The mine-sweeping group of the Northern Fleet ensured the exit of the tactical group from the Kola Bay, and the exercises were conducted in an area of the Barents Sea closed to navigation.

"Brest" and "Snezhnogorsk" – small anti-submarine ships of Project 1124M

Small anti-submarine ships of Project 1124M are armed with AK-630M and AK-176M artillery mounts, as well as a rocket launcher and torpedoes. The ship "Рассвет" is a carrier of anti-ship missiles "Malachite".
