Russian LED lamps adapted to the tropics appeared on the streets of Havana

Rostec supplied Cuba with new type of street lamps

The Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant named after E. S. Yalamov (part of the Shvabe holding) has supplied Cuba with 15,000 unique LED lamps. The new equipment will help modernize the urban lighting of Havana, the Rostec press service reported.

The project was implemented on behalf of the Russian government. Lamps from "Shvabe" are excellent for use in the tropics. The products are resistant to voltage drops, direct sunlight and high humidity.

At the same time, they are distinguished by energy-saving technologies. LED lights consume 90% less energy than incandescent lamps, but produce the same amount of light. Rostec emphasized that they are ready to send their products to other countries with tropical climates.
