Russian truck Sollers Argo gets a long-wheelbase version

The modification with a 3000 mm wheelbase will cost from 2 million 714 thousand rubles

A new model has appeared on the Russian truck market. The domestic company "Sollers" has released a new long-wheelbase version of Sollers Argo. The total length of the cabover truck is 5.8 meters, and the wheelbase — the longitudinal distance between the axes of the front and rear wheels — is 3000 mm. This is reported by the automaker's press service. The turning diameter of the new version of Sollers Argo has increased by half a meter and amounted to 12 meters.

Three body options are available to customers: industrial, isothermal and on-board. All of them are of Russian production. The loading height of the body is 785 mm, so the truck will fit up to 6 pallets of 1200×800 mm in size. The gross weight of Sollers Argo is 3490 kg.

There are no surprises in terms of technical specifications: a 130-horsepower turbodiesel is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Its maximum torque is 285 N·m at 2200–2600 rpm. The fuel tank holds 65 liters. The Sollers Argo has an independent torsion bar suspension at the front on double wishbones, and leaf springs with an anti-roll bar at the rear. The front brakes are disc brakes, and the rear brakes are drum brakes, with a load pressure regulator.

The truck is equipped with the following: air conditioning, audio system, electric windows and electric mirror adjustment. The steering column moves in height. There are two airbags, ABS and ESP systems, cruise control and fog lights.

Let us remind you that Sollers Argo is a Russified Chinese truck JAC N25/N35 — the difference between them is in gross weight. The "Chinese" is a copied Hyundai Porter of the second generation. The trucks are produced in Yelabuga. The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, said in November 2022 that the company's commercial transport is in demand on the Russian market.
