A modernized plant for domestic electrical products has been launched in the Vladimir Region. It has launched import-substituting production of sockets, switches, cable glands, distribution boards, rubber and power connectors. More than 120 people have been employed.
The production of low-voltage electrical products is carried out by the company "Electrosolutions" (EKF brand) with the support of the Industrial Development Fund.
Investors in production have their own industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) analytics platform EKF Connect Industry for remote monitoring and analysis of production efficiency. It:
- optimizes the technological process;
- reducing downtime and increasing equipment utilization;
- analyzes energy consumption;
- identifies and eliminates sources of energy loss.
EKF became the first Russian electrical company to develop and implement its own cloud-based IIoT platform for analyzing production processes.
As a result, we are increasing the volume and range of products, increasing the equipment utilization rate by 15-20%, and reducing energy consumption costs by 10-15% in the first year, with a subsequent annual reduction of 3-5%. Taking into account the experience gained, we plan to offer our IIoT platform EKF Connect Industry to other enterprises for implementation.
It is expected that after reaching its design capacity, EKF will be able to produce up to 6.2 million sockets and switches, 4 million cable glands, 570 thousand distribution boards, 770 thousand rubber and 830 thousand power connectors annually at the production site in Stavrovo.
But there is a problem: the products are not yet 100% localized. So far, after the completion of the first stage of modernization, EKF has increased the localization of products from 15% to 35%. It is planned to bring product localization to 50% by the end of 2025.
It is worth noting that out of more than 288 million rubles that businessmen needed for modernization, 144 million rubles were provided by the federal Industrial Development Fund in the form of a concessional loan under the "Development Projects" program.
