The Moskvich plant in the capital is preparing to switch to small-unit assembly. More than 50 cars have already been assembled using this technology.
The plant is trying to increase the level of localization. Technological fluids, accessories and an emergency call device for the Era-GLONASS system have been replaced with domestic alternatives.
The next stage is small-unit assembly, which includes welding and painting the body. It will allow controlling the quality of body and assembly parts, which will increase the reliability of the car.
The car will be assembled from 900 components, before that, workers used 50 components during large-unit assembly. The plant has already introduced a robotic system for working on the Moskvich 3 and Moskvich 3e models. Now employees are working out the technologies, checking the quality of assembly.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia included Moskvich in the list of cars recommended for purchase by Russian officials. The company's management believes that with an increase in the level of localization, it will be possible to reduce the cost of the final product.
