The St. Petersburg-based Obukhov Plant (part of the Almaz-Antey concern) has launched the production of kits for self-assembly of nine-inch quadcopters, according to Yegor Shcherbakov, chief designer for civilian development at the enterprise.
According to him, the company produces controllers, engines, modems, devices for interfacing with consoles, repeaters, antennas, and frames.

At the same time, the Obukhov Plant promised that the cost of Russian kits would be lower than that of Chinese ones. The drones are expected to be used for cargo delivery. Ordering kits will be available on the company's website. However, the company did not specify when they will appear.
Earlier, specialists from MSTU developed a controller for a drone consisting of Russian components. The serial production of devices is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024.
