The "Vector" Research Institute Demonstrates the New "Serp-VS6" Model and Radio Monitoring Equipment at the World Defence Show

Russian technology giant Rostec has announced its readiness to increase the production of the latest "Serp" series anti-drone systems. UAV countermeasure systems, produced by the "Vector" Research Institute under the umbrella of the "Ruselectronics" holding, are being demonstrated these days at the World Defence Show international exhibition in Saudi Arabia. Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, instructed to increase the production of these systems as part of a visit to the Russian exposition at the World Defence Show, where he was shown the latest electronic drone suppression system "Serp-VS6" and radio monitoring equipment.

At the moment, there is a high demand for these devices on the Russian market. We are ready, if necessary, to scale up the production of anti-drone systems to meet market needs. - said a company representative on the sidelines of the exhibition. Last year, we delivered more than 100 units of these products to our customers

"Serp" systems are successfully used at fuel and energy facilities and enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Russia. At the end of December 2023, it was reported about successful tests of the modernized "Serp-VS5D" complex, which has the ability to independently search for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The latest model of the device, the "Serp-VS6", is an effective means of countering drones, including FPV drones, within a radius of up to 5 km in direct radio visibility and effectively cope with a swarm of drones. The complex also allows you to safely use your own UAVs to monitor the territory.

In addition, the "Vector" Research Institute is presenting radio monitoring equipment for the first time at the exhibition in Riyadh, which is capable of identifying drones and determining their operators by control signals. This equipment has the properties of invisibility to other radio equipment due to the absence of active radiation.

Earlier www1.ru reported on how the "Serp" complexes are being modernized. Foreigners are being shown the "Serp" not for the first time - it and other anti-drone equipment of "Ruselectronics" were presented last year abroad at the EDEX 2023 International Defence Exhibition in Cairo.
