Serial production of heavy Hunter strike drones will be undertaken by specialists at the Chkalov Novosibirsk Aviation Plant, starting in the second half of 2024, according to Sergey Semka, Vice Governor of the Novosibirsk Region.
According to him, the "Hunters" are currently in the final stages of testing. It is known that the first flight of the drone took place in 2019 and was accompanied by the Su-57, and its rollout took place in Novosibirsk at the end of 2021.
The UAV was developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau and is produced at the Novosibirsk plant (part of UAC). Presumably, the "Hunters" will carry guided missiles and bombs in an internal compartment, as well as on underwing suspension units.
The Russian Navy plans to strengthen its naval aviation with the help of "Hunters". The fleet's leadership is paying close attention to this issue.
Earlier, UAC announced plans for the mass production of strike drones.
