Artillerymen of the Vostok Grouping received shells for the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers with an increased range, said the commander of the unit with the call sign Saur.
According to him, the firing range of the 2S1 Gvozdika is about 15 km, but the grouping was given longer-range ammunition. Saur added that the artillery gun has high maneuverability.
The self-propelled gun develops high speed, which allows its crew, after firing at the enemy, to quickly leave their positions and escape from return fire.
Technical characteristics of the 2S1 Gvozdika:

- rate of fire - up to 5 rounds per minute
- engine power - 300 hp
Russian soldiers also have long-range 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV. The howitzer, which is based on the T-90 tank platform, has entered mass production.
