Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise announced plans for 2024 to develop unmanned technology. The production of BAS-200 has already been put into serial production there - this is the only unmanned aviation system in Russia that has certification. BAS-200 was developed at Russian Helicopters (part of Rostec).
BAS-200 is a helicopter-type drone for transporting goods. This UAV has a maximum take-off weight of 200 kg and looks like a cabinless helicopter. It is built according to the classical scheme with a main and tail rotor, consists of a ground station, two helicopter-type drones and a transport container.
BAS-200 can:
● carry a commercial load weighing up to 50 kg;
● reach speeds of up to 160 km/h;
● stay in the air for up to four hours, rising to a height of up to 3.5 km;
● operate within a radius of up to 460 km. This is its maximum range, which is achieved when control of the UAV is transferred from station to station. If control is standard, the communication channel range for BAS-200 is 100 km.
So far, the Bashkir BAS-200 has no competitors: certification is very expensive, and not every developer and manufacturer can afford it. In total, according to the Mil and Kamov National Helicopter Center, about 142 million rubles were spent on BAS-200 certification. Of these, 109.5 million rubles were spent on the services of experts in confirming the compliance of the BAS design with all requirements, and 32.5 million rubles on the creation of prototypes, flight tests, kerosene and other expenses related to the direct development, design and testing.
It is known that the volume of the state order under the national project "Unmanned Aviation Systems" for Integral Robotic Technologies LLC and KumAPP in 2024 already amounts to 3.3 billion rubles. And it will clearly grow - BAS-200 has many interested parties in Yakutia, KhMAO and in other regions. This Russian development also appealed abroad: during the Dubai Airshow 2023 international aerospace exhibition, it attracted a lot of attention from delegations from Arab and African countries.
