Rostelecom will launch the production of base stations for mobile communications in the first half of 2024, according to the company's head, Mikhail Oseevsky.
According to him, Rostelecom will focus on achieving technological sovereignty. Employees of the St. Petersburg plant "Avangard" are currently working in two shifts, producing telecommunications equipment.

According to the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, telecom operators must purchase Russian base stations from 2028. In 2022, Rostelecom signed contracts with Yadro and "Bulat" to create mobile infrastructure.
