Since February 2022, Russia has increased the production of ammunition for artillery pieces by 17.5 times, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The defense ministry noted that tank production has also increased by 5.6 times. Enterprises included in the country's military-industrial complex have increased the production of infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) by 3.6 times and armored personnel carriers (APCs) by 3.5 times. Drone production has increased by 16.5 times.
During an expanded board meeting held in late December, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russian military personnel are fully supplied with ammunition.
Russian engineers are developing new ammunition or modernizing Soviet models. For example, Soviet FAB-250 aerial bombs have been installed on winged platforms, which increased the range of projectile gliding to 80 km.
In addition, Uralvagonzavod has created high-explosive fragmentation shells "Telnik," which can be used by crews of T-90M tanks.
