Earlier, in July and December 2023, the parties signed two additions to the agreement on the implementation of the agreement regarding flights of integrated crews on Russian and American manned spacecraft.

In 2023, in order to maintain the reliability of the ISS as a whole and the guaranteed presence of at least one representative of Roscosmos on the Russian segment and the presence of at least one representative of NASA on the American segment, an agreement was reached with American partners to continue cross-flights until 2025 inclusive.

In September, the head of NASA's manned flight program, Kenneth Bowersox, stated that the American side is interested in extending the agreement with Roscosmos "until the end of the ISS project, whenever it may come".

Currently, two missions are working on the ISS under the agreement, where cosmonauts and astronauts are engaged in scientific research together. They arrived on the Soyuz MS-24 and Crew Dragon in September and August 2023, respectively.

It is known that the next flights under the agreement are scheduled for the first quarter of 2024. Cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin is scheduled to go to the ISS as part of the Crew Dragon crew and the Crew-8 mission in February 2024. In March 2024, astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson will fly to the ISS as part of the Soyuz MS-25 team.
