Russian new "Serp-VS5D" protected an energy facility from drone attacks

According to the test scenario, the fuel and energy facility was attacked by both swarms and single drones. But all attacks were successfully repelled

Rosеlectronics tested the modernized Serp-VS5D anti-drone complex of the subsidiary Vector Research Institute at one of Russia's energy infrastructure facilities.

Serp-VS5D does not allow drones into the zone up to five kilometers in a straight line of sight. Thanks to digital processing algorithms, false positives or missing a flying threat are practically excluded

The anti-drone system worked on tasks for both single drones and swarms. It is a modernized version of the UAV suppression system "Serp-VS5".

The Serp line of anti-UAV devices is in great demand among customers both in Russia and abroad. Therefore, Vector specialists are continuously working to modernize the system, taking into account user experience and improving unmanned aerial vehicles themselves. The modernized Serp-VS5D complex has successfully passed testing at one of the energy infrastructure facilities in our country and has fully confirmed all the declared characteristics.

Russian anti-drone "Serps" "see" targets 360 degrees in the horizontal plane and can jam multiple communication channels in 90-degree sectors with independent operating modes. This allows, if necessary, to use other drones during the operation of the complex, for example, to monitor power lines or pipelines, and they will not be affected. Russian anti-drone devices operate in the most common frequency ranges, and they also hit FPV drones.

The Serp family and other anti-drone equipment from Rosеlectronics this year was presented abroad for the first time at the EDEX 2023 International Defense Exhibition in Cairo. It was doomed to success. The company's products attracted a number of interested parties, and one of the complexes, "Zashchita", impressed the Egyptian side so much that almost immediately after the presentation, one of the companies signed a contract with the Vector Research Institute.
