Russian Railways is preparing a new experiment in which a QR code on Gosuslugi can be presented instead of a ticket for boarding a train, the railway company's press service reported.
The possibility of boarding a train upon presentation of a QR code in the Gosuslugi mobile application is being worked out jointly with the relevant departments
Russian Railways emphasized that the use of a QR code instead of a ticket will be voluntary, and no one is forcing passengers to abandon traditional tickets.
Currently, all conductors have special terminals with a database of passengers. Therefore, in 99% of cases, passengers only present their passport, and a printout of tickets is not required.
Earlier, www1.ru wrote that a high-speed railway will connect Moscow and Minsk. Russia is working on a corresponding agreement with Belarus.
