The "Ural Turbine Plant" (UTZ) supplied Belarus with 20 steam turbines, as it became known during the inspection by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Roman Golovchenko, of the Sverdlovsk Region stand at the international exhibition "Russia" held at VDNKh. The exposition was presented by the governor of the Russian region, Evgeny Kuivashev.
It is noted that UTZ also supplied three powerful T-250 turbines installed at Minsk CHP-4. According to Belarus, the share of turbines produced by the Ural plant in the total volume of generating equipment is 20%.
The turbine supply deal was concluded in October 2023. The agreement was signed by UTZ, GPO "Belenergo" and OJSC "Belenergoremnaladka". Prior to that, UTZ supplied steam turbines to Mogilev, Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, Mozyr and Grodno.
Russia has a large import substitution program, including energy equipment. Earlier, "High-Precision Systems" presented a line of turbochargers that will replace the products of the Western holding ABB.
