The Feodosia Shipbuilding Plant "More" (part of USC) has launched the hydrofoil sea passenger vessel "Comet 120M" (Project 23160). It was named after the Crimean Hero City - "Kerch," the USC press service reported.
The Head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, took part in the solemn ceremony of launching "Kerch".
The labor collective of the "More" shipbuilding plant successfully and professionally fulfills the tasks assigned, not only civilian but also military ones.
It is noted that three "Comets" were built in Rybinsk, and two more in Feodosia. "Kerch" was created under an agreement with GTLK.
The vessel, with a maximum speed of 65 km/h, can accommodate 120 passengers. The "Comet" cabin includes economy and business class seats.
After mooring, sea trials, and acceptance tests, it will be handed over to the customer. The vessel will be put on the route in 2024.
Earlier it was reported that next summer the passenger ship "Aurum" will start running between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod.
