Russian manufacturer of educational robotics "ROBBO" will open the first "ROBBO Club" in Egypt in 2024. The branch will appear in New Cairo, where children from 5 to 15 years old will study. This was reported to www1.ru by the company's press service.
In the classes, young robotics engineers will work with the "ROBBO Platform", "ROBBO Laboratory", "ROBBO Circuitry" and a 3D printer. Local teachers, who will undergo preliminary training with ROBBO methodologists, will introduce children to 3D modeling, the basics of programming, microelectronics and other disciplines. Classes will be held in Arabic, and in the future - in English.
Egypt is a promising market for the promotion of educational robotics
According to the founder of "ROBBO", Pavel Frolov, there is a shortage of robotics schools in Egypt, and the demand for IT education is constantly growing.
Egypt is about five years behind Russia in this area. At the same time, in Egypt and many other African countries, the need to develop IT is clearly understood at the state level
What skills are developed in the "ROBBO Club"
ROBBO robotics is built on open source technologies, so students will be able to write programs for it in different programming languages. In addition, they will create projects to solve real practical problems - individually and in a team.
Children will be able to disassemble and assemble robots, manufacture any part for them, and introduce new modules. ROBBO believes that this will give impetus to the development of technical thinking and unlimited opportunities for creativity.
