Сначала Ford, затем ГАЗ: стало известно, что раньше собирали на заводе «Москвич»

On its birthday, the "Moskvich" plant showed what the first car looked like

On November 6, the "Moskvich" plant celebrates its birthday. It was on this day in 1930 that the State Automobile Assembly Plant named after the Communist International of Youth (KIM) assembled the first car, which was named KIM-10. Prior to that, the company assembled Ford cars, then GAZ.

KIM-10

Mass production of KIM-10 was established between 1940 and 1941, but after the start of the Great Patriotic War, products for the military-industrial complex were produced here.

In 1946, the plant returned to the production of civilian products. At the same time, the company received a new name - "Moskvich". Under this brand, a new car, "Moskvich-400", was soon released, and in 1947 its serial assembly was established.

In the late sixties, the whole world learned about "Moskvich" cars. The best models - "Moskvich-423" and "Moskvich-407" - were shown at the Brussels World Exhibition. The Soviet enterprise received many awards.

It was previously reported that next year the "Moskvich" plant will launch small-node assembly. For this purpose, a workshop was prepared for painting the body and parts.
