The Moscow "Moskvich" plant continues to conquer the domestic market. As part of strengthening its position, the manufacturer may revise its pricing policy. It is possible that in 2024 the cost of cars will decrease. This was stated by Alexander Migal, Commercial Director of "Moskvich".
According to him, a decrease is indeed possible, but the company is still operating taking into account macroeconomic conditions.
Our main priority now is to actively work on localization
Migal emphasized that thanks to investments in production localization, the brand's dependence on exchange rates will decrease.
Currently, "Moskvich" offers Russians its models with a good discount. But the maximum benefit can be obtained by KamAZ employees - it is a technological partner of "Moskvich". As a result of a complex calculation system, the final discount on a new car can reach 22%.
Migal also commented on the question of how "Moskvich" customers assess the quality of cars. The Commercial Director noted that some drivers consider the plant's work to be "attaching wheels to car kits", but this is not the case.
There is already a colossal difference between the incoming quality of pre-assembled components and the final quality of the finished car, in the dealership
The car manufacturer promptly "works out" customer feedback and improves quality standards, he emphasized. Now "Moskvich" is preparing for a full assembly cycle at the plant: small-node assembly, body welding and painting. Thanks to this approach, the plant will be able to maximize production localization, the Commercial Director summarized.
In 2024, the manufacturer promised to present the "Moskvich 8" - a D-class crossover. Car enthusiasts are waiting for another premiere - the mid-size crossover "Moskvich 5". The company's engineers are still conducting research, studying how well the model meets market needs. And in 2025, "Moskvich" plans to introduce an electric car with a fully Russian engine and traction battery.
Earlier it was reported that "Moskvich 6" had arrived at Moscow dealerships.
