Russian troops have received a new drone 'Dragonfly', which can search and defuse mines with remote radio-electronic explosion. This is reported by RIA 'News', referring to the technical director of the developer of this drone - JSC 'Protection Group-YUTTA' Igor Stukalo.
'Dragonfly' weighs 12 kilograms. It is equipped with a TNT block. If during its 50 minutes of flight the drone finds mines with a nonlinear transitions detector, it displays them on the screen and then explodes them.
In addition to military objectives, 'Dragonfly' can assist civilian purposes too. The drone will find missing people under snowdrifts and in the woods if they had any radio-electronic devices with them.
The drone is also capable of monitoring the area and sending data about objects in the area to its control point in real scale of time. It can fly up to 15-20 kilometers from the operator.
