The new Karelian drone «Spider-30» can put out fires, carry loads, and help with agriculture

It has already received registration from the Russian Aviation and is ready for serial production

A new cargo drone «Spider-30» has been developed in Karelia. The development of the engineering center «Ilma» weighs only 15 kilograms, but it can lift its own weight, extinguish fires, carry goods and help with agriculture.

The development of the first serial Karelian drone was financially supported by the republican Venture Investment Fund.

According to the news agency «TASS», the drone can stay in the air on a single charge for up to 50 minutes. It can rise to a height of up to 2.5 kilometers and fly up to 40 kilometers if necessary. «Spider-30» has already received registration from Russian Aviation and is ready to go into serial production, but so far its localization is only 40%.

In «Ilma» plans to increase the number of domestic parts in the drone, and is already developing its own domestic software for it. The range of Karelian engineers' drones will expand: they plan to have new models of aerial, surface and underwater devices.

They will also prepare personnel for unmanned vehicles management at this engineering center.
