After the departure of foreign car brands from the Russian market, the freed niches will be taken by Asian companies. For example, the Jetour concern intends to organize production in Russia.
This information was confirmed by the CEO of Jetour Auto for international markets, Jack Chen. According to him, the company wants to set up car assembly, as well as conduct research and design work involving Russian specialists.
So far, the company is considering various options for cooperation with Russia: from buying a factory to assembling cars under contract at one of the existing enterprises.
In September, Jetour introduced the X70 Plus crossover for the Russian market. The car has received a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine with a power of 190 "horses", a 7-speed "robot" as well as front-wheel drive.
Earlier, it was reported about the increase in the price of foreign cars in the Russian Federation. The price tag for some Jetour models rose by 50 thousand rubles.
