The Russian company "Svyaz SpetsZashchita" showed the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) "Admiral" for transporting "Boets-7" reconnaissance drones at a conference on the development of the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) industry at TsAGI named after Zhukovsky in the Moscow region.
The kit includes a ground control station with a technical vision system that recognizes objects.
It is known that the "Admiral" can stay in the air for up to 4 hours, and also fly distances of up to 400 km. The drone is capable of speeds up to 120 km/h.
The developers plan to increase the payload that the drone can carry in the near future. In addition, Svyaz SpetsZashchita specialists want to equip the "Admiral" with a communication relay system.
The "Admiral" was also shown at the international forum "Army-2023" in Kubinka near Moscow.
Earlier it was reported that "Skoltech" developed a walking drone MorphoLander, which carries a small UAV on itself.
