Second Electric Boat Route Launched on the Moscow River "ZIL - Pechatniki"

A new 9 km electric boat route has appeared in Moscow

The second electric boat route on the Moscow River, "ZIL — Pechatniki," has been launched in the Russian capital. The route, which runs through areas where more than 700,000 people live, is over 9 km long. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

It is noted that thanks to the new route, passengers will save up to 40 minutes on the way. For example, a trip from Pechatniki to Nagatinsky Zaton by public transport takes more than 40 minutes, while on the Moscow River in modern comfortable boats it takes only 12 minutes.

The first electric boat route from Kievsky railway station to the pier on Shelepikhinskaya embankment was opened in Moscow in June 2023. Almost 250,000 people have already used the route.

According to Sobyanin, the launch of electric boats is a unique project not only for Russia, but for the whole world. This is the first water transport on electric power that operates all year round. About 2,500 trips are made daily in Moscow, the mayor concluded.

Earlier www1.ru wrote that electric boats for Moscow are being built in St. Petersburg. The developer is Emperium, part of Sitronics Group (AFK Sistema).
