В России создали систему быстрого обнаружения дронов по акустическому следу

Such a system can be used to protect private property

Researchers at the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov (SSTU) have created a hardware and software complex for rapid drone recognition.

One of the practical applications of this development may be the protection of private property from unauthorized surveillance by unmanned aerial vehicles. The system being developed is well suited for detecting a wide range of civilian quadcopters with a mass of up to 200 g, a flight altitude of up to 100 m, and not requiring licensing for purchase.

The system consists of a network of microphones placed around the perimeter of the surveillance area, a small server, and specialized software for analyzing sound signals. The complex can notify the owner of private property via email and SMS.

The main idea is to implement a network of such systems for recognizing sound vibrations. The network nodes can be connected to each other in a wired or wireless manner, depending on the specific tasks and conditions. Various hardware configurations are also possible, which have a significant impact on the operating range and weather requirements.

The rapid drone detection system has already been tested and has shown good results, including when operating against a noisy spectrum.
