The Angara-A5 flight test program includes six launches

Roscosmos head Yuri Borisov announced that flight tests of the Russian Angara family of rockets will be completed next year. He spoke about this during an open lesson as part of the "Knowledge" educational marathon.

Earlier, the Director General of the Khrunichev Center, which is part of Roscosmos, reported that the flight test program of the Angara-A5 heavy carrier rocket includes six launches, and three more remain to be completed. The first test flight of Angara-A5 took place on December 23, 2014.

The Angara-A5 design has three stages. The length of the rocket is 55 meters, the diameter is almost 9 m. The launch mass is 773 tons. Depending on the orbit, Angara-A5 can put from 24 to 2.8 tons of payload into orbit.
