A "Tissue Gun" for Wound Healing has been Developed in Russia

It heals wounds using biopolymer gel

The military innovative technopolis "Era" has developed a gun, which is designed not to wound, but on the contrary, to heal wounds. The full name of the development is "Tissue Gun" handheld autonomous complex.

The device is equipped with an ultrasonic spraying system that focuses the jet at one point. Because of this, the applied gel hardens on the outside, but remains liquid inside.

"Tissue Gun" has a huge advantage over traditional methods of treatment, as it helps to recover wounds significantly faster.

More details about the development are not available, but something very similar was created this year at Scientific and Educational Center of Biomedical Engineering of NITU MISIS. This device is also positioned as a first aid solution in field military conditions and in disaster areas.

The principle of the "tissue gun" developed by NITU MISIS involves applying a two-component hydrogel to the wound, containing analgesic, hemostatic, antibacterial, and other substances. When stitched, the bioactive material creates a film on the wound, preventing additional bacterial infection and creating favorable conditions for accelerated wound healing. It has already been tested in vivo at the Blokhin Cancer Research Center.
