Microsoft Corporation can no longer accept wire transfers to a local bank account as a method of payment for Microsoft services in Russia.
In an official comment to Forbes, a Microsoft representative said that the company is "suspending the launch of new products, the sale of services and many other aspects of its activities in Russia in accordance with sanctions from the European Union, Great Britain and the United States."
In March 2022, Microsoft announced a temporary suspension of sales of its services and products in Russia, but in the spring of this year, Russian representative offices of international companies and legal entities that were not subject to sanctions began to receive written and oral offers from Microsoft to renew licenses for proprietary software.
