According to the RIA Novosti news agency, citing the TelecomDaily analytical agency, Microsoft has notified its Russian corporate clients that it will stop renewing licenses from September 30 of this year.
Microsoft can no longer accept wire transfers to a local bank account as a method of payment for Microsoft services in Russia.
In an official comment to Forbes, a Microsoft representative said that the company is "suspending the launch of new products, the sale of services and many other aspects of its activities in Russia in accordance with sanctions from the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States."
In March 2022, Microsoft announced the temporary cessation of sales of its services and goods in Russia, but in the spring of this year, Russian representative offices of international companies and legal entities that were not subject to sanctions began to receive written and oral offers from Microsoft to renew licenses for proprietary software.
