We are currently developing a modernized Yak-130M aircraft for special tasks and advanced pilot training.
Andrey Boginsky

The Yak-130 was developed as an advanced aircraft for training military pilots, but for export it is supplied as a light attack aircraft. What specific special tasks are involved is not reported.

The Yak-130 is designed to replace L-39 trainer aircraft and is capable of performing maneuvers characteristic of fourth and fifth generation fighters. The Yak-130 is the first completely new aircraft built in Russia after the collapse of the USSR.
